As we turn the page to a brand-new year, I can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of expectancy! This year, I believe God is declaring it to be one of accelerated growth, newness, magnificent grace, and divine recovery. He is ready to redeem the time, restore what was lost, and pour out blessings that will leave us absolutely in awe!
Isaiah 43:18-19 sets the tone for what lies ahead:
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
This scripture speaks of more than just new beginnings—it proclaims transformation, starting over…new beginnings! God is not simply leading us into a new chapter but accelerating the work He is doing in our lives. He is creating pathways in barren, dry places and bringing new life to areas we thought were long gone.
But to walk in this promise, we MUST let go of the old…

Consider Abraham, who was called to leave his home, his people, and all that was familiar to him to embrace the blessings of God. His willful obedience not only led to personal fulfillment but also established a legacy that still blesses us today. And think of Jesus, THE GREATEST…THE SAVIOR…who had to leave the comfort of familiar places to do mighty works elsewhere. His purpose could not be contained by unbelief or limitations. Both remind us that stepping into God’s new thing requires faith, courage, and a willingness to release what no longer serves us.
This year, as we walk into accelerated growth, recovery and change…let’s commit to letting go of the former things—habits, relationships, and mindsets that no longer align with God’s plan for our lives in our current season. Release the disappointments, the missed opportunities, and even the good things that have simply run their course in our lives.
Good news: What’s ahead is far greater than anything you’re leaving behind!!!
Expect to see God’s magnificent grace at work in your life this year. Grace to forgive, grace to overcome, grace to grow and grace to thrive in areas where you once struggled. Expect newness—a fresh outpouring of ideas, opportunities, and breakthroughs. And perhaps most exciting of all, expect recovery!! God is in the business of restoring the years the locusts have eaten, and 2025 is your year to see His hand move powerfully in your life! I’m telling you, if you’re willing to believe in faith and do the work, you will see the Hand of God!!!
